Jillian Howard, LCSW
I have over 10 years of experience as an educator across various fields.
In the past, mental health in the black and brown communities, which I am a member of, has been taboo. As a child, I did not see a lot of people that looked like me who were emphasizing the importance of mental health. This is where I feel called to serve. My goal is to help emphasize the importance of caring for your mind and healing from past trauma in black and brown communities.
It is incredibly beneficial for people to feel supported and encouraged along their life journey. Creating an atmosphere of resilience and persistence is important to the counseling process. What happened in your past does not have to define who you are today. We must invest in ourselves to become the best versions of ourselves.
As my client, you can expect a safe therapeutic environment where we work together to develop a comprehensive and personalized plan that will assist you in healing and growing. Seeking therapy is one of the best steps a person can make for themselves! This can be a big leap, however, it will be a leap that will begin your journey to self-understanding, self-acceptance, and building better relationships.
I look forward to supporting you in your journey!
