Founder/ Executive Director

Jamila Jones, LCPC

I am deeply passionate about helping individuals navigate life authentically to create the lives they desire. It was from this place that Reclaiming Minds was born. At Reclaiming Minds, we are dedicated to the healing, empowerment, restoration, and support of BIPOC women and those who support them.

Since 2007, I have worked in mental health services and education, professional development, and training in mental health. My specializations include anxiety, reproductive issues, depression (including perinatal mood disorders), and trauma. In addition to therapy, I offer coaching services to support clients in achieving their personal and professional goals.

With advanced training in integrative modalities, including Brainspotting and EMDR, I help clients process and heal from trauma effectively. My commitment is to spread awareness about the importance of mental health and wellness for women of color.

Throughout my career, I have been featured as a mental health expert and thought leader in various media outlets. Under my leadership, Reclaiming Minds has grown to provide individual, couples, family, and group therapy, as well as EAP services, training, and psychoeducation to schools, corporate, and nonprofit organizations. My goal is for Reclaiming Minds to be a leading space and sanctuary for the mental wellness of BIPOC women.

I love the work I do with women as they navigate the complex challenges they experience in life! My approach is two-fold,  I start with helping you discover the person you want to be, which means getting past all the things that have held you back. Then I work to assist you in developing the tools you need to live your best life. My approach to finding solutions is through a collaborative effort between the client and myself. I believe there is an answer to all the challenges we face.

In our therapy, we will develop a collaborative relationship to help move you toward recovery from pain, fear, addiction, etc.

I will always respect you and listen to you. I want you to feel safe and protected so you can be yourself both while with me and in your life.
