Nicole T. Langston, LCSW

Nicole is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a background in mental health support, residential treatment, and child welfare services.

 As a rapid re-housing program supervisor helping homeless citizens in the Chicagoland area to gain permanent housing, Nicole’s values are rooted in the ideals of community outreach and providing individuals with resources to maintain self-sufficiency.

Her therapeutic approach is outcomes-oriented; she focuses on helping individuals understand integrated trauma and how it manifests in everyday life while providing tools and methods to develop healthy coping skills to tolerate, minimize, and manage stressful situations. She believes strongly in developing others to help enhance the world around us.

Nicole has worked with individuals experiencing:

Throughout her career, Nicole has also worked with adolescents/young adults in cultivating their sense of self, determining their [own] life path, and developing healthy behaviors to move throughout the world. Some of her work has included, but is not limited to working with: Head Start – a program of the United States Department of Health and Human Services that provides comprehensive early childhood education, health, nutrition, and parent involvement services to low-income children and families, (https://www.acf.hhs.gov/ohs), and DCFS – Illinois Department of Children and Family Services. Nicole has also worked with children and families of both immigrant and homeless populations.

Leading with integrity and professionalism, Nicole has a proven track record in the successful and effective implementation of specific and targeted care models such as trauma-informed care services and coordinated community care models. She remains passionate and steadfast in strategic planning and the execution of coordinated programs to address poverty, domestic violence, child abuse, criminal justice, social inequity, educational disparities, early childhood development, mental health, and the needs of aging populations.
